We're just a few short weeks away from Halloween and wanted to provide some costume inspiration in case you haven't landed on that perfect fit just yet! Are you wearing braces this costume season? Instead of falling back on your old favorites, why not try something new!
We've done some research on some silver screen standouts that make for awesome costume inspiration this year! Take a look and see what you think!
1.) Darla - Finding Nemo
She's everyone's favorite niece from Finding Nemo. While visiting her uncle at the dentist, for her routine check-up, we all cringed as she was given a new pet, Nemo. Fortunately, things did not end up going her way, but she is a wonderfully inspiring character that could make a great costume option while wearing braces for Halloween!
2.) Katy Perry - Retro 90's Look
TGIF is right! Katy Perry took us back to the early 90's in her music video for her #1 hit "Last Friday Night." With over 1 billion views on YouTube, we thought her character could make a great pick for a costume if you're looking for something a little more retro. With a pink sweater, geometric earrings, and a lot of hairspray this is a super fun DIY costume option.
3.) Chuckie Finster - Rugrats "All Grown Up"
Children of the late 80's know and love the original Nickelodeon cartoon, Rugrats, which first aired in 1991 just over 26 years ago. In the mid-2000's the sequel spin-off, Rugrats: All Grown Up aired featuring the well-known baby clan - just a little bit older. Chuckie Finster could be an awesome costume this Halloween.
4.) Ugly Betty
This unlikely fashionista landed a job with a high-powered fashion company and instantly became one of our favorite characters to cheer for! America Ferrara did an incredible job portraying this unlikely style-icon. A mix-matched vest and lively print shirt with her iconic red glasses could make the perfect statement for your costume this year.
5.) Barb - Stranger Things
With the Netflix suspense thriller, Stranger Things, Barb plays a very supportive best friend character. While she didn't technically wear braces in the show, we think that she is still an amazing costume option and could work nicely while wearing Invisalign too! With those incredible 80's specs and ruffled plaid shirts with her signature red hair, she is an icon of her own. We're already excited about Season 2 of the show as well. #JusticeForBarb
Braces shouldn't be the reason to avoid finding a Halloween costume. These DIY costumes are unique and can be very budget-friendly, something all of us can appreciate.
